Checkroom service
A baggage storage service is available in some stations of the network, allowing personal belongings to be left in a secured area with lockers and controlled access. Please note that this service is only offered to passengers holding a boarding pass confirmed for departure on the same day.

Checkroom service rules
- Each baggage must be identified with the customer's name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. If needed, we can provide baggage tags at no cost.
- The checkroom service may only be used by customers holding a ticket confirmed for a departure on the same day with VIA Rail or Amtrak. Non-travelers cannot use this service.
- Baggage storage overnight is prohibited, with the exception of bicycles.
- Perishable goods and pets are not accepted in checkroom.
- This service cannot be offered to customers using our Air Connect service from Montreal Central Station, as we do not have information on these passengers, other than their name.

- Checked items must not exceed 23 kg (50 lb) and 120 cm (48 in)
- No baggage can be left in the checkroom once the trip is completed or during the night.
VIA Rail's liability
Liability for baggage in checkroom
VIA Rail may indemnify a passenger for loss, damage or theft of items left in the checkroom at the station up to a maximum of $100 per item.
